Dr. Mackenzie Blackburn is a Doctor of Chiropractic at Pinnacle Hill Chiropractic in Rochester. With a background rooted in exercise science, human movement, and rehabilitation, she is passionate about helping patients of all activity levels reduce pain, restore function, and build the confidence and skills needed to support their long-term health. She works with patients experiencing a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, neck pain, joint discomfort, mobility limitations, and movement-related injuries.
After earning her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a concentration in Health and Wellness from SUNY Brockport, she went on to complete minors in Biology and Dance. These experiences helped shape her understanding of functional anatomy, biomechanics, and human movement — pillars that continue to influence her clinical approach today. She later earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from D’Youville University, where clinical rotations provided hands-on experience treating diverse patient populations and a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.
Her approach to chiropractic care is both hands-on and movement-focused. In the office, she works to reduce pain and improve function through chiropractic treatment, manual therapy, and movement-based care. Outside of the office, she helps patients identify sustainable strategies they can use independently to maintain progress and prevent future setbacks. She believes that while hands-on treatment can provide meaningful relief, long-term success comes from active participation, education, and building trust in one’s ability to move well.
Special Interests:
A background in dance and exercise science gives her a unique ability to teach movement in a way that feels approachable, supportive, and easy to understand. Patients appreciate her encouraging style, attention to detail, and focus on helping them feel confident throughout their recovery and wellness journey.
As she continues to grow in her practice, she is currently pursuing continuing education opportunities through the Institute of Clinical Excellence and in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT).
Outside of the office, Dr. Mackenzie enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, kayaking, fishing, and tending to her ever-growing houseplant collection. She also enjoys taking her dog for walks and unwinding with a good book.
